Bultronic, Ltd. is Bulgarian a commercial company established in 1997 with 100 percent private capital by its founder Hristo Ivanov. He is president of the company and has a long years’ experience in communications and electronic industry. Bultronic’s mission from its setting up to this day has been unchanged – to bring to the Bulgarian market some of the material achievements in the scope of (Land Mobile Radio/Professional Mobile Radio) LMR/PMR communications and electronic industry from some of leading world vendors. The company runs its business in two basic directions. On the one hand it focuses on advanced LMR/PMR turnkey solutions for customers in the government, municipal, industrial and utility sectors. On the other, the company is independent electronic components supplier to OEM manufacturers in Bulgaria.

Since 2003 Bultronic, Ltd. has been the Bulgarian business partner and authorized International Sales Representative of the world famous US company Tyco Electronics M/A-COM for the whole territory of Bulgaria. The American company is among the pioneers of the world LMR industry, and has a huge heritage of almost 80 years’ PMR experience. Tyco Electronics M/A-COM evolved from some LMR industry emblematic companies as General Electric, Ericsson and M/A-COM, each of which has contributed to the current success of the company. Nowadays Tyco Electronics M/A-COM is the second largest LMR Company in the USA, but it is the US and worldwide number one vendor as regards the number of installed advanced analog and digital trunked PMR systems. These systems are basically EDACS, OpenSky and APCO25 (Project 25), and currently their number is more than 600. In this quantity are included two of the largest LMR networks in the US and worldwide – these are Florida and Pennsylvania statewide wireless networks, covering almost 95 percent of the respective state’s territory and servicing tens of thousands first responders. In 2006 Tyco Electronics M/A-COM launched the building up of the biggest (Internet Protocol) IP-based LMR system in the US. It will provide service to more than 70 thousand first responders from various federal, state and local government agencies, public safety, industrial, and utility sectors in the state of New York. Tyco Electronics M/A-COM is the supplier of communication equipment for almost all the strategic aircraft-carriers of the US Navy, and for about 70 other US naval ships. M/A-COM’s communication equipment has been installed on approximately the same number of naval ships from some other NATO countries. Tyco Electronics M/A-COM is one of the basic military communication equipment suppliers to the US Army in line with DoD’s Base Radio Systems Program. In 2004 their unique technology NetworkFirst for assurance unprecedented total interoperability between disparate LMR systems was certified by the US Homeland Security Department as the first (and the only so far) LMR “Antiterrorist technology”. At the end of 2004 was officially announced the opening of the new Joint Command and Communication Center (J2CC) for the National Capital Region (NCR) in Washington D.C with the help of Tyco Electronics M/A-COM’s VIDA platform network. This is the first tri-service (Army, Navy and Air Forces) LMR system in the continental US. This J2CC for the NCR ensures a 24/7/365 “on-line” interoperability liaison with many federal government agencies, public safety and security services.

M/A-COM was the company which in less than 24 hours managed to build up an alternate command radio center for the New York Police Department (NYPD). It was built near the site of the disrupted.

World Trade Center on 11 September 2001. M/A-COM’s name is also associated with the exceptional reliability of its LMR equipment which has withstood severe tests of a series of hurricanes (Charley, Katrina, Rita, etc.) which have hit some of the US coastal states in the last few years. In the majority of these cases thanks only to the reliable M/A-COM’s LMR equipment it was possible to fulfill all necessary discovery, rescue and recovery activities in the damaged regions.
